The Jacuzzi Babes
It was 7:00am as I walked into my local swimming baths and did my usual A-Z lengths of the swimming pool. When I stepped out of the pool, I saw three ladies chatting in the Jacuzzi and immediately thought to myself this could be a good picture.
I see people in situations all the time and instantly my brain tells me take a picture. By this I mean I always have a plan for a picture before I say ‘hello there’, if that makes any sense. So here were three ladies sitting in a Jacuzzi and I walked over and said; “Are you feeling sexy in there?”
They laughed back and said; “If you’d asked us 50 years ago we may have felt sexy!”
Their names were Dorothy, Barbara and Gladys and they where all in their 80’s and discussing their up and coming Macmillan Nurses coffee morning event- exciting stuff like who was going to make what cake (I thought to myself oh the life of older retired ladies!)
Then I had a picture idea, and went to change to get my camera. I came back and said; “Hello again, my name is Duncan and I am a photographer- would you like me to take your photo? I will make youfeel sexy again!”
They all laughed and I asked them to step out of the Jacuzzi, I took them over the to the showers, placed them in a group and got them to hug together. I turned on the shower (to cold) and said a few cheeky comments, which made them really laugh. The pictures turned out to be amazing because I captured the exact moment of laugher and joy of these lovely ladies.
